Our aircraft refinishing process is a testament to precision and dedication. Beginning with a comprehensive airframe inspection and meticulous stripping, we ensure every part is primed for perfection. Composite parts are expertly prepared, metal treated for corrosion protection, and a corrosion-resistant urethane primer is applied. Sensitive areas are masked, and the aircraft receives three coats of AcryGlo Polyurethane paint. Your custom design is meticulously hand-laid, controls are balanced and reinstalled, and stainless steel hardware is provided to ensure lasting quality. Our General Aviation Painting Process
PREPARATION & STRIPPING
A complete airframe inspection is carried out upon arrival. Control surfaces and any parts or hardware to be protected from the stripping process are removed. All sensitive areas are covered and the aircraft is stripped and scrubbed clean.
COMPOSITE PARTS
All composite parts are hand worked and prepared for priming. Where necessary, damaged composite parts are repaired/rebuilt or replaced with new parts.
METAL TREATMENT
The aircraft is thoroughly washed with phosphoric etching solution. A conversion coating for corrosion protection and to enhance the primer and paint adhesion is applied.
PAINTING PROCESS
All sensitive areas (including vents, windows, actuators, polished areas, etc.) are carefully masked and sealed. The aircraft is primed using a corrosion resistant urethane primer. The base color is then applied using three full coats of AcryGlo Polyurethane paint.
TRIM AND REGISTRATION
The aircraft is hand laid out per the customer specification for the paint scheme, colors, and registration. Trim colors are then applied.
ASSEMBLY
Controls are checked and reinstalled. Cowlings, spinner, wing tip, and tail section screws are replaced with stainless steel hardware. All controls are lubricated. A retraction test (where applicable) is performed. A new wing walk (if applicable) is applied. Door jams are repainted.
OPTIONS
This includes off-white base color, split base schemes, special schemes, metallic trim colors, and registration numbers
